The Wine Hopper is brought to you from the team at Tassie Tours. They have years of experience in day and multi-day touring around the state and in Wine Hopper have introduced a whole new way to experience one of Tasmania's most beautiful wine regions. 

Patrick Bass: The founder of Tassie Tours and The Wine Hopper, Patrick, has led these companies to great success. Patrick's deep experience in tourism and business across Tasmania is crucial in sustaining and growing these ventures statewide. His dedication to ensuring careful vehicle maintenance and smooth business operations keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

Ethan Knott: Business Manager Ethan is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for our staff, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining our systems, fostering new relationships,and driving business development. Ethan's background in recruitment and business management contributes to creating a positive and productive environment for everyone involved.

Matilda Bannister: Our Reservations Coordinator, expertly designs Tasmanian private tour itineraries, handles quotes, and oversees implementation while also maintaining our systems and supporting daily business operations. Coal Valley Vineyard
Coal Valley Vineyard, located in the Coal River Valley near Richmond, Tasmania, is a boutique vineyard known for its commitment to sustainability and hands-on viticulture. Established in 1991, the vineyard produces premium cool-climate wines, with all grapes being handpicked and vines meticulously pruned by hand. The vineyard's Cellar Door provides visitors with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning views over the Coal River estuary.
Craigow Vineyard
Established in 1989 by Dr. Barry Edwards and his family, the vineyard quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional cool-climate wines, particularly Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay. The vineyard's name and land have historical significance, dating back to 1822, offering visitors a taste of Tasmania's rich viticultural heritage.
Riversdale Estate
Riversdale Estate is not only a vineyard but also a destination offering an array of experiences. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings at the cellar door, dine at the elegant French Bistro, or indulge in the estate's renowned picturesque Coal River Valley. A family-owned vineyard known for its stunning landscape and rich agricultural heritage dating back to 1824.
Puddleduck Vineyard
Puddleduck has become a beloved destination for wine lovers, offering a range of premium wines crafted entirely on-site. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, vineyard tours, and a variety of food options, including locally sourced platters and the unique "Reverse BYO®" picnic experience. The vineyard also features a family-friendly environment with outdoor seating, a playground, and opportunities to interact with the resident ducks.
Every Man And His Dog
As one of the region's most charming boutique wineries, Every Man and His Dog Vineyard offers a cosy and intimate experience for wine enthusiasts. The vineyard specialises in cool-climate wines, including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and an unwooded Chardonnay, each crafted by the dedicated, hands-on owners. Adding to its unique appeal, the vineyard is home to an onsite artisan bean-to-bar chocolate maker, The Federation Chocolate Factory.
Pooley Wines
Pooley Wines has been recognised as one of Australia's most renowned cool-climate producers, with The Halliday Wine Companion awarding Pooley Wines 2023 Winery of the Year. The vineyard offers an inviting cellar door experience, set in a Georgian heritage-listed building, where visitors can enjoy structured tastings, local cheeses, and wood-fired pizzas on the base of Butchers Hill.
Richmond

Established in the early 19th century, it's known for its well-preserved Georgian architecture, including the iconic Richmond Bridge, Australia's oldest stone bridge, built in 1823. The town also boasts the beautifully maintained St. John's Catholic Church, the oldest still-functioning Catholic church in Australia, all perched by the famous Coal River Valley. Richmond's quaint streets are lined with heritage buildings, boutique shops, and cafes, making it a popular destination for history enthusiasts and visitors looking for a picturesque and peaceful setting.

Larder & Vin

Larder and Vin is a charming establishment that combines a gourmet food store with a cosy dining space. It offers a selection of locally sourced wines, cheeses, and artisanal products that celebrate Tasmania's rich culinary heritage. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed meal or a glass of wine in a welcoming atmosphere while also browsing through a curated selection of gourmet goods to take home. It's a great spot for those looking to experience the local flavours of the region.

Richmond Arms

This iconic venue offers colonial-style accommodations and a welcoming bistro, making it a beloved spot for both locals and visitors.

Amaze

Located at the entrance to the historic town of Richmond, you will be struck by the contemporary architecture that sits unobtrusively in the shadow of the sandstone buildings. We have 2.6 kilometres of mazes for you to wander in, enjoying some fun activities that we provide to keep you entertained. Stop for a bit to eat or a snack in our delicious café and enjoy the free family style games on the lawn. Amaze caters for all ages and abilities. The mazes and the facilities are pram and wheelchair friendly.
